The Sourcing Advisor is responsible for providing advice and assisting in the execution of enterprise-wide sourcing best practices and programs for vendor management and spend management to enhance profitability.
What you will be doing
Assist with sourcing event activities. Including, developing bid strategies, compiling requirements, performing market research, vendor identification, draft and publish RFI/RFQ/RFP events, analysis of results, suggest recommendations, contribute to meetings, price and contract negotiations
Consult with internal business leaders and monitor vendor relationships during sourcing events to ensure client satisfaction
Concurrently lead multiple small-to-medium sourcing engagements
Assist with contract negotiations regarding business and pricing terms with vendors to maximize business value and manage risk
Analyze business stakeholders on the benefits, costs, legal aspects, and the potential risk associated with use of a vendor to ensure that we leverage the company's spend and resources to receive the best overall value
Identify awareness to business stakeholders of preferred vendors, and work closely with employees to grow existing business and develop new areas of opportunity that fully maximize the preferred vendor’s value
Support efforts to proactively identify, engage and build relationships with both business stakeholders and vendors.
Support the assessment of new sourcing opportunities by evaluating new products or services, reducing the supplier base, or optimizing existing purchasing practices
What will make you successful
Bachelor’s Degree
Demonstrated understanding of sourcing and experience in contract negotiation
Proficient with Microsoft Office; with strong Excel and Word skills
Able to independently work on projects with discretion and independence
Good critical thinking and problem solving skills
Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
Organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
Collaborative skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
Good business and technology acumen
Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects independently to completion
Able to provide exceptional follow through and be customer-service driven
Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
