We offer a complete line of extruded aluminum and formed steel louvers as well as custom architectural louvers. Many are licensed to bear the AMCA seal for both water penetration and air performance.

Our Alumavent control dampers feature a premium aluminum insulated damper utilizing a true thermally broken blade. We also offer an extruded aluminum, airfoil blade control damper. Our triple-v blade steel control dampers are specially engineered so that the single-piece frame locks together without bolts, screws, and rivets that can vibrate loose. Our fire dampers are available for both dynamic and static applications with 1-1/2 or 3 Hour ratings, as we continue to expand our range through extensive testing at Underwriters' Laboratories.

Every product is manufactured to exact specifications, executing strict quality control procedures from start to finish.

The Position:

The Lead Hand trains and provides work direction to assemblers in an organized and efficient manner, and inspects projects to ensure that work has been completed on time and as requested. Plans and organizes work in an effective manner.

• Must be able to read work orders and follow production protocol.
• Oversees the production process and is responsible to meet production goals/numbers and standards.
• Responsible for the work area to include equipment, machinery and tools to make sure they are working in proper order and shut off at the end of every shift (this includes fans).
• Provide leadership and development as required to achieve production objectives.
• Have familiarity with all plant equipment within their area of expertise.
• Ensure health & safety policy and procedures are met; has strong working knowledge of relevant Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
• Maintain work area is clean, and clear of hazards and encourage employees to do the same.
• Accountable for the workers within the assigned Line.
• Assist assembly workers when required.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

High School Diploma.

• Manufacturing/production line experience is an asset
• HVAV Manufacturing experience is a strong asset.
• Must have technical background and be able to read drawings.
• Effective English communication skills (written & verbal) are required to understand and communicate instructions.
• Able to read imperial measurements.
• Working knowledge of WHMIS and OH&S.
• Physically demanding; requires lifting capability of up to 50lbs.
• Must be reliable, dependable, and have a good attendance record.
