Description and Environment:
Using a variety of assembly equipment (welders, robotic welders, hand tools and other assembly machines), the assembly associate produces various sized manufactured products including ball studs, panels, hinges, struts, and bolts. The operator also performs basic measurements and is responsible for quality checks according to customer specifications. This is done in a plant environment with concrete floors, moderate to loud noise, varied temperature levels with moving machinery and handling metals is various forms of raw material. PPE is required as per company policy. Essential duties of the job including, lifting, standing, sitting, bending, crouching, reaching, grasping, walking and the use of basic mathematical calculations including statistics. Operator is also responsible for machine set up and adjustments using various hand tools, in addition to the analysis of the output. Output/production criteria must be met as per the standards set by the company. Assembly jobs are done using a variety of repetitive motions throughout the shift. Long sleeves/short sleeve and long pants must be always worn. PPE always required in plant: green-triangle safety shoes, hearing and eye protection.
