True North Sports Entertainment is looking for a client-centric, strategic, and motivated sales professional to join our team.

The Director, Partnerships is responsible for achieving sales goals and objectives through ongoing business development through direct prospecting, relationship building and leadership of an internal sales team.


What to be excited for in this role:
  • Lead a team of high-performing individuals with account management responsibilities spanning multiple properties (Winnipeg Jets, Manitoba Moose, hockey for all centre, Burton Cummings Theatre).
  • Build meaningful and collaborative relationships with stakeholders to ensure the retention and growth of national and regional business partnerships.
  • Establish and develop new business partnerships in a wide array of industries.
  • Network with national, regional, and local businesses to acquire leads and develop new partnerships.
  • Participate in a competitive, dynamic atmosphere with a vibrant entrepreneurial culture.

What we need from you:
  • Post-Secondary Education (Business Administration, B.Comm, or related field).
  • Minimum 5–10 years of successful experience in sales, with a track record of successfully leading sales teams and achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Accomplished in written communication and adept at delivering impactful presentations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Proficiency in analyzing sales data, market trends and customer behavior to make informed decisions.
  • Energetic, competitive, and passionate about sports and entertainment.
  • Must have the ability to:
    • be comfortable with prospecting new business directly and establishing new relationships.
    • effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.
    • a self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
    • demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • work evenings, weekends and holidays as the hockey and event schedule directs.
