Hot Shot Driver

Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting equipment and materials to various locations within Edmonton. This position requires a valid class 5 driver's license and experience pulling a trailer.

Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently transport goods and materials to designated locations

- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as skid steers & excavator heavy machinery

- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure

- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe transportation

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays

- Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors to report any issues or changes in delivery schedules

- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols and vehicle maintenance

Qualifications:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

- Proven experience as a Driver, preferably in a commercial driving role

- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is a plus

- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment, such as skidsteers & excavators

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo

- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers
