Junior Project Manager

Reporting to the VP of Portfolio Management, Subterra Capital Partners is hiring an exciting role, Junior Project Manager!

Responsibilities

• 60% Devoted to Engineering
• Completion of Feasibility Studies for projects or proposals, including;
• Energy model development, with definition of inputs and assumptions
• Development of annual heating and cooling load profiles
• DDY loads
• Ground loop sizing and summary
• Preliminary bore field layout
• Coordination with other design teams (architectural and mechanical most notably)
• Coordination of findings with 3rd party engineering partners for stamping and progressions of detailed engineering deliverables;
• Oversite of mechanical, electrical and controls engineering by 3rd party;
• Oversite of construction and commissioning.
• 40% Devoted to Business Development
• Work with sales and analyst team to prepare proformas and preliminary designs for projects;
• Support development or new and refinement of existing internal tools related to building load estimating and geothermal preliminary design;
• Assist with preparing and issuing proposals, with a focus on the technical estimating and internal technical tools.
• Other support as required

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in HAP, TRACE or other energy modelling software is considered an asset
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design and engineering concepts;
• Strong knowledge of energy modelling (including use of software);
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical engineering considered an asset);
• 2-5 years of experience in engineering; 1 year project coordination is an asset
• High ethical values and professionalism;
• Client facing experience is considered an asset;
• Project management experience is considered an asset.\

License/Certification:

• Driving License (preferred)
• P.Eng is an Asset

Salary: $60,000-$70,000 per annum
