Job Title: Junior Buyer

Job Summary:
The Junior Buyer supports the purchasing team in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services. The role involves maintaining inventory levels, ensuring timely delivery, and fostering positive relationships with suppliers. This position is ideal for an entry-level candidate looking to grow within the procurement field.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Procurement:
Support the Senior Buyer in the procurement process, including the preparation of purchase orders and vendor contracts.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and products.
Assist in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining supplier databases.
Order Management:
Process purchase orders and ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods.
Track and report order status and resolve any issues related to delivery or quality.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Inventory Control:
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory management team to maintain optimal stock levels.
Supplier Relations:
Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Communicate with suppliers to negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and terms of agreements.
Address any supplier issues or concerns in a timely manner.
Cost Analysis and Budgeting:
Assist in analyzing purchasing trends and cost-saving opportunities.
Support the preparation of budget reports and cost analyses.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations related to procurement.
Maintain organized and up-to-date procurement documentation and records.
Production Order Review
Confirm orders from sales while reviewing inventory demands and current stock levels.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in procurement or a related field is an advantage but not required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
