Technical Writer

Work Setting

  • On-site position in Woodbridge, Ontario.
  • Full-Time, Monday to Friday.

What You Are

  • A fast learner with the ability to grasp complex technical concepts quickly.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to create clear and accurate documentation.
  • Skilled in translating technical information into user-friendly documents.
  • Familiar with software development processes, QA workflows, and API structures.
  • A strong communicator with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with engineers, QA teams, Tech Support, and product managers.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain high-quality documentation, including:
  • User guides, manuals, API documentation, release notes, and FAQs.
  • Internal QA process documentation and technical workflows.
  • Support documents for the Tech Support team to assist with troubleshooting, customer communication, and standard operating procedures.
  • Work closely with QA teams, developers, Tech Support, and product teams to gather information and understand technical processes.
  • Produce clear, concise, and accurate end-user documentation tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understand and document technical specifications, APIs, workflows, and system designs.
  • Update and maintain documentation as products and features evolve.
  • Review and edit existing documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with company standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technical Writer in a technology or software environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of software systems, APIs, QA processes, and support workflows.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, systems, and product updates.
  • Excellent command of English grammar, technical writing best practices, and documentation standards.
  • Experience using documentation platforms like Confluence.
  • Familiarity with API documentation tools like Swagger, Postman.
  • Experience in gaming, mobile apps, or a tech company environment is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 per year
