ACTING HR ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT - 10 Month Contract
PLASP Child Care Services is a charitable organization operating on a not-for-profit basis, providing high quality early learning and child care, for children up to 12 years of age. PLASP operates programs in more than 240 schools providing before and after school care. PLASP also operates 36 full-day early learning and child care centres and 6 EarlyON locations for children from 0 – 6 years.

Reporting to the HR Generalist, the HR Administrator will provide support and assistance to the Human Resources Department.
THE POSITION INVOLVES…
- Drafting employment letters for Program Staff
- Responding to general HR enquires in an efficient and timely manner
- Efficiently managing HR documents through both digital and physical filing systems
- Supporting with the auditing and review of Ministry of Education documentation
- Assisting with administration of the PLASP required learning initiatives and training programs
- Assisting with the administration of the PLASP employee recognition program
- Supporting the recruitment function with administrative duties as needed
- Assisting the HR Administrative Specialist with onboarding compliance and documentation for new hires
- Printing employee ID Badges for new and existing staff
- Assisting with curbside pick-up to provide new employees with their company essentials
- Providing administrative support to the various HR functions as needed
- Attending regular meetings with immediate supervisor and HR Team
THE PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL HAVE…
- Successful completion of Human Resources Management diploma preferred
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a full-service Human Resources Department preferred or equivalent experience in an administration position
- Excellent computer skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, together with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Sensitive to the importance of confidentiality
- Ability to multi task
- Excellent time management skills
