Employee Engagement Coordinator

(Culture Coordinator)

The Culture Coordinator will maintain a positive and supportive community culture at Planview Utility Services Limited and will aim to promote what it means to be a Planview USL team member. Guided by our culture pillars, Lead, Innovate and Commit to Excellence, the Culture Coordinator will drive employee engagement and lead the Culture Committee.

The Culture Coordinator will plan, budget, oversee and own all aspects of Planview’s culture initiatives and liaison with counterparts. In this leadership role the Culture Coordinator will support the on-going growth of Planview’s culture working closely with all departments to ensure Planview continues to be a leader in innovation, operational efficiency and maintains a strong customer focus.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Under the direction of the Senior Vice President, the Culture Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Driving employee engagement through interactive activities, online communication, virtual and in-person events;
  • Researching, testing and implementing new ideas and technologies to drive employee engagement across our hybrid workforce;
  • Planning and attending company team building events (virtual and/or in person);
  • Sourcing and acquiring corporately branded employee gifts and prizes;
  • Supporting new employee onboarding;
  • Building and maintaining a social media presence that highlights the Planview USL culture to support talent retention and acquisition.

2. Lead the Culture Committee, including:

  • Monitor performance and provide coaching;
  • Timecards and expense approvals;
  • Coordinating resources from within Planview’s associate network, including external consultants, third-party vendors and suppliers.

3. Carryout technical and management tasks as required.

Requirements

1. B.A. degree in Communications, Marketing, Organizational Development, HR, or related field.

2. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in employee engagement, culture development, or related

areas.

3. Familiarity with organizational culture, employee relations, and talent management.

4. Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with event planning and coordination, both virtual and in-person.
  • Proficiency in using various communication and collaboration tools.
  • Social media management skills.

5. Understanding of employee engagement strategies and best practices.

  • Knowledge of current trends in technology and tools for virtual engagement.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and strategies for building an online presence.

6. Demonstrated success in driving employee engagement through interactive activities.

  • Proven experience in research, testing, and implementing new ideas and technologies for employee engagement.
  • Successful planning and execution of company team building events.
  • Experience in sourcing and acquiring corporately branded employees’ gifts and prizes.
  • Contribution to the success of new employee onboarding programs.
  • Building and maintaining a social media presence that positively reflects the company culture.

7. Leadership experience, preferably in leading committees or teams.

  • Ability to monitor performance, provide coaching, and lead the Culture Committee.
  • Experience in management time cards and expense approvals.
  • Coordination of resources form within the company’s associate network, including external consultants, third-party vendors, and suppliers.

8. Ability to carry out technical tasks as required.

9. Capability to handle management responsibilities with the role.

10. Valid Drivers’ License & clean driving history.

11. Strict confidentiality and privacy.

The Location

Planview Utility Services has 3 offices – Markham, London and Ottawa.
