Job Summary

NUMIS Chartered Professional Accountants (“Numis CPAs”) offers accounting, tax, and consulting services for Canadian & US businesses and individuals.

We are seeking a driven individual to fill a full time Manager role on our Airdrie, AB based team. At NUMIS CPAs we are looking for motivated individuals who work well in a team environment and are detail oriented.

Core Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting directly to the Partners, the Manager will work on review, compilation, tax and consulting engagements from a wide variety of industries.

· Contribute to client satisfaction by providing clients with exceptional quality, timely and responsive services

· Supervise and mentor staff

· Manage file progress and workflow

· Review working papers and support for the completion of financial statements

· Review corporate and individual tax returns

· Review sales tax returns

· Review monthly bookkeeping engagements

· Utilize technology to maximize efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications and Experience

· CPA Designation

· 5 years with relevant public practice experience

· Experience with Caseware, iFirm, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive, Sharepoint)

· Exposure to paperless systems, including QuickBooks Online and Asana

· Strong written and oral communication skills in English

· Excellent time management skills

· The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, then come together as a team when needed

· Driven to meet simultaneous deadlines and adapt to competing priorities

· References required upon interview

In addition to your vacation time, NUMIS CPA staff are eligible for Mondays off in July and August. At NUMIS CPAs we invest in employees and will cover costs associated with meeting the requirements of the CPA continuing education program, in addition to annual professional dues.
