If so, your search ends here! MHBC is seeking a Planning and Design Technician (Contract - 1 Year - with possible extension) to join our team in the Kitchener Office.

What you will do:
- Preparing conceptual development sketches and other visual materials including but not limited to 3D Massing Models, shadow studies, view-shed analyses and realistic renderings.
- Preparing Official Plan, Secondary Plan, Tertiary and Block Plan mapping and associated data for land budgets.
- Preparing basic Site Plans and Draft Plans of Subdivision as well as conceptual master plans.
- Assisting in preparing report figures, graphics, and exhibits in support of planning reports, urban design briefs, presentations, and tribunal hearings, etc.
What you offer:
- A related degree or diploma from a recognized college or university.
- A portfolio illustrating computer drafting skills and design creativity.
- Experience in a planning, urban design, computer graphics or similar work environment.
- Advanced skills in GIS applications ArcMap 10.8 and/or ArcGIS Pro.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (release 2018 or later).
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Experience using Google SketchUp or other 3D Rendering Software.
- Knowledge of Site Plan, Subdivision, and architectural design is an asset.
- Membership in CACPT and/or other professional organizations is an asset.
