ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:


McDougall Energy is looking for a Regional Manager within our Business Market in Southern Ontario. The Regional Manager will spend a significant amount of time in the field and will contribute to the development of a high performing sales workforce focused on growing our commercial fuels, propane, lubricants, and related equipment sales activities within their region. Reporting to the Vice President, Home and Business Markets, the Regional Manager will:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the Territory Managers.
  • Determine KPI’s for new customer growth and sales.
  • Achieve sales targets through appropriate proposals and ethical sales methods to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and associations for business development and referrals.
  • Prepare and complete paperwork accurately and completely.
  • Prepare and report to leadership on progress to strategic plan.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with other departments as required, including; operations, credit, marketing, revenue.
  • Supporting Territory Managers as they negotiate contracts and close deals.
  • Spend time in the field with each Territory Manager.


ABOUT YOU:


The ideal candidate will have:

  • College or equivalent University degree in Business ore related field an asset
  • Minimum five (5) to eight (8) years’ experience in sales management
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on sales commitments within a highly competitive market
  • Strong and proven people management skills including ability to predict future talent needs
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset; ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Valid G Driver’s License
  • Ability to lead, mentor and motivate a sales team
  • Experience in the propane and/or petroleum industry is an asset
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Willingness to travel; some over nights will be required.
