We are a company of 100 people (7 in Sales) based in Montreal, Quebec, with sustainable growth, which seeks to strengthen its presence in Ontario, by winning new customers. We already have a sales person in Toronto for GTA, but we are looking for an additional force for the South of Ontario (Windsor-London axis) and eventually Michigan.

We manufacture custom metal parts (machined parts, castings, weldments) for Canadian leaders in the fields of agricultural machinery, trucks and trailers, heavy equipment (mining, snow removal, construction), forestry machinery, industrial equipment, mainly.

The company grants autonomy and trust to its staff: the candidate must be honest, motivated, mature and able to manage his/her time, files, his customers, independently and responsibly. Management will be in Montreal, so candidate has to be trustworthy and autonomous.

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing (in Montreal), the candidate will be responsible for the development of his/her clientele in his/her territory.

Responsibilities:

· Establish lists of potential customers to visit, qualify them, prioritize them (from your contacts, through Google or LinkedIn searches, tours, via associations, Chambers of Commerce, etc.)

· Send introductory emails and make prospecting calls (cold calls) to generate appointments

· Make a first visit with a presentation of the company (Powerpoint, tablet) to Purchasing or Operations Manager, or even General Management for smaller companies

· Understand the customer needs in terms of custom metal parts. Collect samples and drawings (specs) to send to Engineering colleagues in Montreal, who will do the price estimation

· Presentation of the quote to customers to sign a Purchase order

· Once the customer has been acquired: make regular visits to generate more business

· Organize your time, appointments, calls, reminders, contact files

· Maintain close (daily) collaboration with management: weekly reporting on activity / updating of contacts and activities in the CRM / follow-up of customers and projects / alert on difficulties / organization of joint meetings with Sales Director for the largest customers / proposal of strategies to improve sales in the territory

· Provide professional service (before AND after-sales) to ensure customer satisfaction

· Work to maintain a good reputation of the company

· Most importantly : Achieve / exceed the development objectives

Required skills:

We are looking for a person with conclusive experience in BtoB sales :

Competence or experience in a semi-technical field, or basic knowledge of engineering, or interest in the technical field : reading 3D drawings, some interest for metals and their properties, metallurgical manufacturing processes (machining, casting, forging) , curiosity for heavy or specialized machinery, the world of transport, agricultural equipment, etc.

Concern for presentation: written / oral / presentation

Ability to persuade and build trusting professional relationships

Customer orientation and ability to find solutions to customer needs

Autonomous and disciplined in the management of his activity

Use of common IT tools (Office / CRM / Google / LinkedIn)

Sensitive to her/his reputation and that of the company

Sense of initiative

Energetic and passionate

Owns a vehicle and a valid driver's license, not afraid of driving across provinces and being away from home several days in the month (5-10).

Competitive salary with a large portion of commissions: $80,000.00-$100,000 (all-incl.) after one year. Further growth via commissions after Yr1.
