Summary of Position

As the Manufacturing Operator, you will be part of the team responsible for building Lifting Solutions Endless Rod® continuous sucker rod strings in our Edmonton-based manufacturing plant. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will ensure our products are manufactured to Lifting Solutions’ standards and specifications as well as participate in manufacturing optimization efforts. You will play a major role in the success of our day-to-day manufacturing operations.

You must possess a strong safety-minded attitude, pride in one’s work, and an exceptional desire to provide the highest level of quality. This position does require shift work, including night shift.

In alignment with the Lifting Solutions culture, mission, vision, and values, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assembling, heat treating, packaging, and tracking of continuous sucker rod to specified standards.
  • Performing all required preventive maintenance checks, inspections, and tasks
  • Maintaining raw material and finished goods inventories as required
  • Setting up and maintaining the manufacturing plant and equipment
  • Ensure all completed mandatory paperwork is thorough, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Maintain overall good housekeeping in all work environments.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to mitigate or eliminate workplace hazards.
  • Complying with all industry, regulatory, and company standards, regulations, and policies
  • Participating and supporting our safety culture
  • Shift work is required, including rotating day and night shift work.
  • Weekend work is required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience within a manufacturing production environment.
  • Transferable industrial or construction experience including use of hand tools, mobile equipment, and cranes.
  • Advanced mechanical abilities
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or handling continuous rod considered an asset.
  • Mandatory pre-offer and ongoing employment alcohol and drug screening (safety-sensitive position)

Your Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Required to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
  • May be required to do repetitive tasks.
  • Regular exposure to elevated noise levels working in shop and yard environments.
  • Required to work indoors and outdoors.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
