General Labourer - Rebar

At Kit Steel, we cut, bend and fabricate reinforcing bar (rebar) at our shop in Niagara. We are looking for labourers to join our team. Qualified candidates have experience working in a shop environment, are available to start immediately.

Full-Time - Friday - Sunday Shift

How the shift works:

( 3 ) 12 hours shifts, 36 hours total, plus a 'shift premium'

Responsibilities:

- Operate machinery including rebar benders, shears and overhead crane;
- Load and unload trucks;
- Tying rebar bundles together with wire for shipping;

- General labour duties as required

Requirements:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven shop environment

- Ability to do some heavy lifting,

- Ability to work safely, strong awareness of your environment is essential

- Forklift experience an asset

- Math skills an asset

- Construction, manufacturing plant or rebar tying experience will be considered assets

- Basic Welding considered an asset

- Attention to detail
- Overtime may be required
