Temporary Part-Time Positions, Clinical Extern
Pay: $25.74 - $28.30

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Manager, Charge Nurse, Registered Nurse, or Therapists (PT, OT, RA) the Clinical Extern will provide support to the nursing units by assisting the teams with patient care related to the level of education completed. This position is a support position to our front line interprofessional teams to ensure they are focused on core care duties as our inpatient capacity increases related to the impact of COVID 19.
This role is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the Kingston Health Science Centre’s strategy. As an employee, one must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for actively promoting and supporting patient and family centered engagement and care in all we do.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Secondary School Graduation Diploma (Grade 12)
- PT and OT students must be Enrolled in an Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy post-graduate program at a post-secondary institution
- Paramedic Students must be enrolled in at least year one of a Paramedic Program in a post-secondary Institution.
Nursing Students (RN or RPN) at a post secondary institution
