We are currently in search of a Quality Control Inspector (CWB Level 2) to join us at our facility on Annacis Island in Delta, B.C.

Here’s what you’ll do:
Your primary responsibility is to ensure fabrication activities are completed in accordance with client specifications, government regulations, and codes of construction. Highlights of job duties include:
- Performing positive material identification testing on materials and welds (includes issuing reports)
- Visual weld inspection before, during and after welding
- Witnessing hydrostatic testing of pressure piping
- Performing orientation and dimension checks of fabricated components
- Review of project documentation
- Executing project inspection and test plans
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Expect to spend approximately 90% of your time on the shop floor
Here’s what we’re seeking in the successful candidate:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in QA/QC inspections of pressurized equipment in Oil & Gas or Pulp & Paper industry
- Experience with shop fabrication of new construction piping and vessel components including familiarity with some or all of the following standards: ASME B31.1 & 3, ASME Section II, V / VIII / XI, AWS D1.1 & 1.6, CSA W59, DNV Rules, Lloyd’s Register Rules
- Strict compliance with our HSE program
- Experience in visual inspection
- Strong interpersonal skills. A positive and team-oriented approach to work. Dependable and trustworthy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, manage time, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to work well under pressure.
- Highly motivated and self-directed, with the ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
