Highwood Distillers Ltd. is currently looking for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team in High River, AB. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager this position is responsible for day-to-day activities within our warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Keep production line replenished with correct materials
- Prepare orders by processing product purchase orders/requests: assembling product (picking items and palletizing) and staging for shipment
- Warehouse duties include physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages of varying sizes and weights; including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, placing packages by physical bending, twisting, kneeling, etc. in a safe and efficient manner
- Transport materials between local facilities via van-body truck
- Maintain truck by completing operational checklist, advising of maintenance requirements, and cleaning (as required)
- Maintain inventory controls as directed by management
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards (documentation/paperwork)
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping racking, pallet areas, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping/receiving area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other related duties as required
Skills and qualifications:
- Bondable
- Physical ability to lift approx. 50lbs
- Clean driving abstract
- Forklift experience is required, minimum 1 year
- Forklift license is an asset
- Demonstrated competence in attention to detail and organization
- Effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to work at a detailed level with minimal supervision, as well as a team player
- Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional customer support
