FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - SUMMER STUDENT

Reporting to the Facilities manager, the facilities maintenance technician is responsible for the physical maintenance of the building, facilities, and grounds.

• Maintaining grounds, lawns, gardens, parking lots
• Manual yard work , knowledge of string trimmer operation and maintenance
• Perform various tasks to building facilities , painting , moving equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Small improvements and equipment installation.
• Maintain a clean work environment.

• Actively enrolled post secondary education program
• Good mechanical skills and willing to learn
• Demonstrate autonomy and initiative.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Safe worker and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies.

• Experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, and food manufacturing.
• Certifications in the following: fork truck, working at height, PEWP / MEWP, rigging and hoisting, confined space.
