Hiring Pipefitter Apprentices for Bonnyville Fabrication Shop

Jardeg Construction is recruiting Pipefitter Apprentices to join our Bonnyville Fabrication Shop team. This is a temporary full-time position on 5/2 shift rotation.

Bonnyville Fabrication Shop completes fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta. For over 40 years, the Bonnyville office and team have been providing specialized material requirements and technical services and support for industrial construction and applications. As a longtime part of the Bonnyville and area community, we take pride in supporting and contributing to local organizations that improve and enhance community life.

Previous fabrication and assembly shop experience is an asset.

*** $175 a day Living Out Allowance***

As a Pipefitter, you will:

• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending of pipes, valves and fittings.
• Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
• Gather all pipe fittings required for the drawing package, document heat numbers, cut pipe, prepare fittings and prepare dlegs/trunnions.
• Set up fittings and pipe to be tacked.
• Able to read and interpret Acorn & isometric drawings.

Position Qualifications:

• Registered Apprentice.
• Tacking experience required.
• Experience with Fabrication and Assembly.
• Construction Safety Training Systems - 09 (CSTS-09) Certification required.
• WHMIS 2015.
• Energy Safety Canada Certified Mobile Elevating Work Platforms.
• Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• AB Pipefitting Apprentice Ticket (required)
