Job Summary:

Freshco's Project Manager is responsible for servicing multi-site clients in North America. From start to finish, they bid, prepare, plan, and execute projects awarded by our clients and follow them through to completion into the billing process. Furthermore, the Project Manager develops meaningful relationships with the clients and contractors, while also traveling to sites to meet with our clients and present opportunities for additional business.

The Project Manager is a Freshco ambassador and as such is also responsible for positively representing the company with clients and all external stakeholders while driving new business.

Specific Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Professionally represents Freshco with clients, including store managers, corporate facilities and construction managers, contractors, and others as directed.
  • Regularly attending client sites on a scheduled cadence and as needed to review any projects as well as recommending potential work.
  • Manages work for execution and monitors according to client and internal KPI's.
  • Estimating, bidding, preparation of phasing plans and projects schedules.
  • Managing and scheduling contractors according to project schedule.
  • Resource procurement and delivery scheduling.

· Establishing and monitoring of budgets and observance of variance controls

  • Ensuring all projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Manage site communications and issue resolution with site superintendents.
  • Management of project metrics, milestones, financial KPIs and key reports into Freshco's database system and priority information disseminated, as directed.
  • Client-required job reports are done on time and distributed as directed.
  • Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders including the Contractors, Invoicing team, Site Supervisors, and the Client Construction Manager to ensure projects are completed as per plan and bid.
  • Act as primary point of contact and communicate project status to all stakeholders.
  • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management.
  • Hours of work: Combined days and nights as per project requirements.
  • Travel will be required - 30-50% of your time.
  • Expected to use your construction industry knowledge to influence standardized procedures and help improve business efficiency.
  • Works remotely according to office policies and guidelines when not traveling.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and other skills:

  • 5-7 years experience in the high-volume commercial Construction industry required.
  • Understanding of estimating and bidding best practices and knowledge of industry and regional standards for pricing.
  • Advanced organization skills with the ability to prioritize ongoing tasks across multiple projects at any given time.
  • Experience scheduling and executing large multi-trade projects with multiple subcontractors.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Must be an eager collaborator with multiple divisions and multiple stakeholders.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects preferred), AutoCAD experience preferred but not required.
  • Experienced with and adept and willing to learn our client's software and in-house platforms.
  • Bilingual language skills are an asset.
  • Ability to learn to meet the changing requirements of the position.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently remotely.
  • Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel, as required.
  • Must have own form of reliable transportation for visiting client sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
