About the role

The Superintendent ITT is responsible for leading the Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation (RLO) IT team, best governance practice support for the RLO IT systems and applications, and successful delivery of IT related projects and solutions at RLO.

Key result areas in this role include:

• Develop and maintain an IT Strategic Roadmap for RLO, outlining pathways for new and continued development of systems/technologies at RLO over short, medium, and long term horizons.
• Maintain and administer a lifecycle management plan for critical components of IT infrastructure at RLO.
• Maintain high standards of security of information systems at RLO to mitigate the risk of occurrence and severity of Cybersecurity events.
• Responsible for the development of the IT annual operating budget and IT project capital investments, and the delivery of the work of the IT team in accordance with approved budget funding and timeframes.
• Negotiate and manage cost effective and fit for purpose contracts with service providers and vendors and maintain a strong relationship.
• Work collaboratively with Group IT to simplify and standardize IT solutions at RLO
• Development and administration of IT policies and procedures.
• Develop and provide high-level technical advice, and required training programs, to site end users.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of new equipment, systems, and programming techniques appropriate to the organization.

About you

As the Superintendent ITT you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology or related field. 

It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:

• Minimum 10 years of progressive systems support experience preferably in a mid-to-large network environment.
• 3-5 years of experience at a supervisory level preferred
• Experience administering mining industry specific and other technical software.
• Extensive knowledge of computer technologies to provide best level of support and recommendations to end users and management.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills to solve computer problems.
• Demonstrated experience in Project management and delivery safely, on time and on or below budget.
• Ability to disseminate complex technical issues to engage in clear and concise communication with key stakeholders.
