Employ to Empower is seeking a dedicated, entrepreneurial-minded individual to join our dynamic team as the Entrepreneur Engagement Coordinator. If you are passionate about entrepreneurship, supporting others in their journey, and creating significant social impact, we’d love to hear from you!
Organization Overview
Employ to Empower supports individuals facing work and social barriers to achieve self-confidence, financial well-being, and a sense of belonging through entrepreneurial opportunities and self-advocacy. Our unique approach recognizes that entrepreneurial success isn't always measured by traditional profit models. Instead, we value the pursuit of passion, the development of a business, and the reinforcement of self-esteem, self-worth, and confidence.
We work with entrepreneurs from the Downtown Eastside (DTES) and across Metro Vancouver - many of our program participants have faced barriers such as homelessness, addiction, disability, and mental illness. Our goal is to shift the negative stigma about these issues and empower individuals with lived experiences to speak on their own behalf.
