Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Chef, this position is responsible for entering data into an internal Material Management Software System called C-BASE. This requires input of yield recipe specifications. This position also provides support within the pricing and production departments, conducting yield tests and administrative support. This contract position is from March 17, 2025 to March 31, 2026.
Job Duties:
- Determines order and production quantities by referring to airline specifications, meal orders and CBASE/SAP information
- Entry of orders and reservations accurately and on time
- Printing order guides, data sheets to guide operations
- Printing Specifications, sorting according to job function and distribution of specifications
- Updating Specifications as necessary
- Allocation of Specifications
- Developing step by step specifications
- Enters recipes/data in CBASE; verify data entered
- Works with cooks and chefs to ensure specifications for food are up to date and have the required information for production
- Participates in meetings with managers
- Any other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Culinary/Business Diploma a definite asset
- Experience in a high volume food production assembly facility required
- HACCP and Food Safe Certificate required
- Previous experience in ordering in ingredients, performing ingredient yields and cooking processes desirable
- Previous experience working with cooks/chefs, bulk food production, work flow and HACCP required
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point; speed and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to deal with multiple demands and adjust work priorities in a very high volume environment
- Proven experience with process standards and databases required
- Previous Quality Assurance experience an asset
- Ability to make independent decisions with defined guidelines
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
