As a Data Collector, you will be involved in the collection of data and field studies. In this role, you will perform a variety of transportation studies, surveys and parking inventories. The primary role is the collection of turning movement data at intersections of different modes of travel. Data Collectors will be compensated for personal vehicle use in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
Qualifications
A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent), and the use of a personal vehicle for business purposes is required.
Previous experience in data collection, field studies will be considered assets.
Must be able to maintain focus amidst distractions and a busy environment.
The ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks, collaborate with team members and follow complex ad detailed instructions is required for success in the role.
The ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing field conditions with a demonstrated accuracy and a high attention to detail is also required for success in this role.
Working Conditions: Work is primarily conducted in the field on city streets, and may involve extended periods of walking, sitting, or stair climbing. Interaction with members of the public may be required. This position also requires you to drive during periods of heavy traffic, to pull over onto city boulevards, and drive over curbs to perform the duties of the job.
