Job Summary

Cedarbrae Veterinary Clinic is seeking a cheerful, reliable and motivated animal-lover for a full time, permanent Animal Care Attendant / Veterinary Assistant position. We are a 3 doctor, CVO accredited companion animal hospital that focuses on dogs, cats, bunnies, and small mammals. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to bettering the lives of clients and patients alike.

Responsibilities and Duties

This position includes but is not limited to:

- Administering medication, feeding and walking our hospitalized and boarding patients

- Restraining animals and working alongside our veterinary technicians

- Maintaining the cleanliness of our facility

- some reception duties required (answering calls, booking appointments, etc)

Qualifications and Skills

- Previous Veterinary Clinic and/or Animal Care Program graduate or equivalent an asset

- Avimark experience an asset

-Flexible schedule, as weekend/late shifts will be required

-Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

-Positive attitude, friendly, and a problem solver.

-Able to multi-task and strong attention to detail.

-Able to work well in a team setting.

-Knowledge of general office equipment and Microsoft Office

Salary: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
