Our employees love CWB.  You’ll love it here too. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for ensuring high quality outcomes of all core banking platform, and core loan origination systems. This includes coordination of workloads and outcomes based on priority business needs and alignment with other IS teams and leaders on execution of work. Coordinate and plan execution of tactical workloads across team members ensuring functional, non-functional testing cases are carried out on core systems in line with release schedule. Build plans and coordinate workloads that adhere to testing practices, standards, strategies, and frameworks as defined in Quality Assurance team. Structure and position technical QA team members to ensure CWB forms solutions have robust scalable testing practices. Responsible for ensuring high quality outcomes multiple CWB business solutions including but not limited to operational and critical financial systems. Act as subject matter expert actively executing strategies to improve standard IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Systems Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and tools. Leveraging direction from Senior Manager, Quality Assurance, continue a culture of continuous improvement built on measured outcomes and key controls and quality metrics in alignment with business stakeholder needs, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and departmental goals and objectives. Tactical execution of various QA efficiency improvement initiatives maturing QA disciplines, governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. Identifies and implements opportunism for continual process improvement while leveraging synergies across QA teams in alignment with Application Services goals and objectives. Build and mature relationship with leaders in 3rd party vendor partner roles ensuring communication of standards, metrics, expectations, and alignment on timing of business outcomes. Accelerate the strategic execution of Quality Assurance in CWB through automation, secure code testing, and broadening the scope of capabilities and applications in the QA portfolio. Position strategies to drive a culture of rapid through modernization of tools, capabilities, process, standards, and governance frameworks. Through strategies and plans, identify and realize cost efficiencies through QA resource structure, tools, and practices. Develop QA Strategies to ensure the quality of critical banking systems enables the business stakeholders to meet business objectives through implementation of high-quality production systems. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Professional Knowledge (Education & Technical Knowledge) Please indicate the minimum level of education required to be successful in this role, being as specific as possible. Include required Certifications, Designations, & Licenses as well • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and experience. • QA Certificate/Diploma and/or ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate an asset. Professional Experience (Practical Experience) 6 years plus experience in Software Quality Assurance. 3 years plus in Software Quality Assurance leadership. Professional Competencies Please identify the specific skills & behaviours required to be successful in the job. Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Testing Lifecycle. Experience implementing, and maturing process improvements demonstrating cost efficiencies in line with department budgets. Knowledge and experience adhering to, collecting, Quality Assurance testing SLA’s, metrics, and measured outcomes. Strong organizational skills, ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results. Demonstrates ability to think strategically while leading a diverse tactical team of QA professionals. Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements. Strong knowledge of testing disciplines and methodologies. Project management knowledge. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills that can be applied with people across all levels of CWB.
