GFL Environmental is looking for a Labourer to join the Industrial team in Brantford, ON! Reporting directly to the Industrial Services Manager, this position will be based out Brantford, Ontario site. The day to day responsibilities of this role will include: environmental and safety monitoring at our site, Specialized industrial cleaning, unloading trucks, operating forklift, truck and power washers, and administrative duties as required. This will be a Full-Time employment opportunity requiring a valid G class license. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for day to day monitoring or assigned project. Maintain cleanliness of Tools and Equipment and Industrial Services Shop. Power washing. Industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous wastes. Assist on Vacuum Trucks/plant operations as required. Confined Space Entry/ Rescue as required for Industrial Services Projects. Working in tight or cramped spaces. Working while using Respirator or Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus. Shoveling, Jack Hammering, Squeegee, Scraping and heavy lifting as required. Operate Pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, etc. Operate Aerial boom lift/Scissor Lift as required. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies: 2-5 years’ experience in Industrial Cleaning and Maintenance strongly preferred. Experience working in Industrial settings an asset. Previous experience with Vacuum Trucks, Industrial Power-washing or Water-blasting, or Liquid Waste Industry experience strongly preferred. Previous experience with Confined Space Entry or Work at Heights an asset. Experience working with Respirators and Supplied Air Systems an asset. Lift truck, scissor lift or zoom boom ticket an asset. Ability to work flexible hours/shifts, days, evenings, nights & possibly weekends or holidays. Class G license required AZ/DZ License is considered an asset. Must be comfortable with driving and maneuvering a pick-up truck and trailer unit. Clean cut, friendly and professional, able to deal directly with customer contacts on site. Ability to multi-task, take direction and work without supervision or within a team at times.
