Job Title: Drafting Technician
Location: Niagara Falls.
THE OPPORTUNITY: Generating shop drawings, material procurement and fabrication drawings for Residential Fenestration products such as Window Wall and Balcony Railing within a fast paced, collaborative office setting.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
-
Create accurate and professional working shop drawings consisting of system details, floor plans, and elevations with assistance and direction from Drafting Supervisor / Managers using AutoCAD 2020.
-
Produce Material Procurement forms for aluminum, glass, pvc, gaskets and hardware using databased programs such as Excel, Google sheets and various optimizing programs.

Produce Project specific fabrication drawings for frame assemblies, subcomponents and various infills using either AutoCAD or Inventor programs.

Produce crate and frame tracking sheets and a bill of materials as prepared in Excel or Google docs.

Utilize AutoCad and Revit filing systems and directory structures established for project.

Participate in project engineering team meetings.

Provide assistance and information to other project team members (field, project management, fabricators, suppliers, etc.) as required.
WHAT WE 'RE LOOKING FOR:
-
3-5 years’ of experience in similar capacity.

Must have minimum Architectural Technologist diploma or similar qualifications.

Must be proficient in AutoCAD. Revit/or Inventor experience would be a plus, but is not required.

Window Wall design experience is advantageous.
-
Ability to read architectural drawing, structural drawings and blueprints.

Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, including complex formulae.

Solid Microsoft Office skills including but not limited to MS Word, MS Outlook, advanced knowledge of MS Excel, and Internet software.

Ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced work environment, independently and as part of a team, a multi-tasker who can prioritize when under pressure.

High level of accuracy and confidentiality is essential with strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills.

Resourceful, enthusiastic and results oriented.

Follow Health and Safety duties as assigned.
