Rental and Marketing Coordinator

25 Hours/Week @ $23.00/hour, Part-time, One year term with possible extension

 

Job Purpose: The Rental and Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing all aspects of facility rentals. The primary focus of this position is to market and promote major functions including weddings. This position will also manage the Farmers Market and Christmas Market, while also supporting volunteer-led community events at the Bragg Creek Community Centre. This position is integral to the facility's success and viability, ensuring strong rental revenues, efficient rental operations, effective marketing strategies, and a high standard of service.

 

This person will be responsible for

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the Community Centre’s rental spaces focusing on major functions including weddings, The Farmers Market, The Christmas Market, and volunteer-led events.
  • Create and manage content for various marketing channels, including the BCCA website, social media platforms, email newsletters, and print materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community groups to increase visibility and drive rental and market opportunities

Rental Management:

  • Oversee the booking process for all facility rentals, including event spaces, meeting rooms, and recreational areas
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for renters, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service.

Farmers Market Management:

  • Organize and oversee the Farmers Market, including vendor recruitment, stall assignments, and market setup.

Christmas Market Management:

  • Participate as a member of the Spirit of Christmas Committee.
  • Plan, organize, and manage the annual Christmas Market, including vendor coordination, event layout, and holiday-themed decorations.

Support for Volunteer-Led Community Events:

  • Collaborate with community volunteers to plan, organize, and execute volunteer-led events at the facility.

Operational Oversight:

  • Ensure the facility is well-maintained and prepared for events, including coordinating with maintenance and custodial staff.
  • Monitor and manage rental equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good condition and available as needed.

Financial Management:

  • Grow rental revunes
  • Working closely with the ED and other staff to develop and manage the rental and market budgets, including setting pricing strategies and tracking revenue.
  • Process rental payments, deposits, and refunds, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

 

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.

·        Proven experience in rental management, event coordination, or marketing, ideally within a community or event setting.

·        Experience in managing markets and supporting volunteer-led events is a plus.

·        Strong understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing strategies.

·        Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.

·        Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with marketing software and tools.

·        Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

·        Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for facility operations and events.

·        Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

·        Valid Class 5 Driver’s License & reliable vehicle

·        First Aid and CPR Level C Certification

·        AGLC ProServe Certification
