Job Overview:
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for understanding all financial activities of the company. You will need to analyze and provide key and meaningful takeaways to our management team, including but not limited to creating project budgets, forecasting sales, reporting finances, and identifying any financial issues.
- You must have advanced Quickbooks Online experience and knowledge.
- You must have advanced accounting experience and knowledge.
- You must have experience working in an e-commerce company.
- Korean speaking is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage high-level aspects of accounting operations, including but not limited to: forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Provide detailed reports on transactions, sales per platform, total monthly sales, courier costs, and other relevant financial metrics.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and offer business advice based on financial data, including profitability analysis, budget management, and strategic financial planning.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and report any red flags in spending by category to enable swift and informed decision-making.
- Report closely to the management team to track sales and analyze product financial performance across e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, eBay, and Best Buy.
- Utilize inventory management systems to monitor inventory costs, margins, ensuring optimal stock levels and profitability.
- Manage marketing expenditure across platforms such as Reddit, Google Ads, and Facebook to maximize marketing ROI.
- Employ financial data visualization tools (Microsoft Power BI, Python, Tableau) to create comprehensive visual reports that highlight financial health and insights.
- Ensure seamless integration of financial data into QuickBooks Online for real-time analysis and decision-making.
- Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as required during downtime.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in an eCommerce company, with a proven track record of managing finances
- At least 3 years of experience using Quickbooks Online
- Proficiency in financial data visualization and analysis tools
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and strategic financial advice.
