Role Summary

Blackbird Security seeking a detail-oriented , self-starter to join our team as an Operations Administrator, specializing in assets and compliance. In this role, you will be directly supporting the Operations Support Manager in his role as it pertains to administrative management of all facets associated with security field operations, asset management, and maintenance compliance for our uniformed security and mobile divisions. Your role will be responsible for but not limited to the following;

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monitoring of dash cams and GPS systems daily, crucial for supporting mobile departments, with a sharp focus on promptly reporting any anomalies or incidents to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct the meticulous collection, analysis, and maintenance of vehicle inspection reports for a fleet of 15 vehicles. Synthesize data into comprehensive statistical analysis and reports to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Champion adherence to internal and external regulations governing fleet operations, proactively addressing any violations related to insurance, safety, or other regulatory requirements to ensure the highest standards of compliance.
  • Spearhead the supervision of fleet maintenance schedules and requirements, orchestrating seamless coordination of maintenance activities and inspections for security vehicles to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Lead the identification and evaluation of procurement opportunities for assets and services, leveraging thorough market research to inform strategic expansion initiatives.
  • Execute comprehensive uniform audits across diverse regions to uphold stringent company standards, meticulously documenting findings and escalating anomalies to appropriate levels of management.
  • Conduct in-depth audits of telecom services and data usage to strategically optimize costs and ensure strict adherence to company policies.
  • Take charge of tracking and maintaining records of general assets within the organization, actively contributing to asset inventory management and reconciliation processes.

Job Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in administrative or operations roles is preferred, showcasing a track record of successfully navigating complex operational environments.
  • Exceptional organizational skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail, underpinning the ability to effectively manage multifaceted tasks and responsibilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for fostering productive relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is expected, with a penchant for leveraging technology to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Familiarity with fleet management software and systems is advantageous, demonstrating a commitment to staying abreast of industry best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance standards related to fleet operations is preferred, reflecting a dedication to upholding the highest standards of legal and ethical integrity.
  • Knowlegde of security business operations is an asset.

Position Details:

Position Type: Full-time; Permanent

Salary Range: $49,000 - $52,000

Location: #310 - 1385, W 8th Avenue, Vancouver, BC

Schedule: In-office position; Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
