Position Overview:

As the Maintenance Coordinator for Bellevue Park Senior Living during the pre-opening to post opening phase, you will play a key role in ensuring the physical infrastructure is prepared to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our future residents and team members. This position involves strategic planning, coordination with various stakeholders, and hands-on involvement in maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Opening Planning:
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement pre-opening maintenance plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Facility Inspections:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the facility, identifying maintenance needs, safety concerns, and deficiencies.
  • Compile a comprehensive inventory of equipment, fixtures, and furnishings, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
  • Supervision and Staffing:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff for pre-opening tasks.
  • Coordinate work schedules and assignments to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Maintenance Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program, addressing routine tasks and minimizing unexpected issues.
  • Oversee and participate in repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure the facility complies with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, including emergency response plans.
  • Budget Management:
  • Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget for the pre-opening phase.
  • Track expenses, negotiate contracts, and seek cost-effective solutions.
  • Communication:
  • Maintain open communication with residents, staff, and management regarding maintenance activities and updates.
  • Promptly respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Documentation:
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Document equipment manuals, warranties, and service agreements.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Obtain competitive bids for maintenance services and negotiate contracts.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings in the maintenance department.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and new technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in maintenance coordination, preferably in a senior living or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance.HVAC Ticket an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in budget management and cost control.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary.
  • Flexibility for on-call and emergencies when needs arise

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
