Part Time Banquet Server

Bellamere Winery & Event Centre (London) and Carnegie Hall (Ingersoll) are looking for part-time Banquet Servers both seasonally and year round.

This role will support Bellamere Winery and Carnegie Hall during our event-filled summer and fall seasons.

The Role

As a Banquet Server, your primary responsibility is to help us ensure our weddings and events go off without a hitch. This means you:

• Act as a welcoming and gracious host to all guests.
• Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests and team members.
• Serve food and beverages to guests according to our company guidelines and specifications.
• Clear/clean tables according to health and safety guidelines and specifications.
• Support with preparatory tasks and side work duties to ensure all guests are served promptly and efficiently.
• Be familiar with the menu, food and plating for the assigned function, including guest allergies.
• Respond quickly to guest concerns, communicating with the Event Supervisor as required.
• Work according to all of Bellamere’s health and safety standards.
• Support with other duties as may be required.

What you bring to the table:

• Availability to work mid-week, weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to and from Bellamere Winery (London) and Carnegie Hall (Ingersoll).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Smart Serve Certification.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A willingness to learn and an openness to feedback, coaching and mentorship.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all staff.
• Able to work in a predominately standing position for long periods of time.
• Able to safely lift and easily manoeuvre trays of food or dishes when necessary.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes following company uniform policies.
• Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is a bonus, but not required.

Pay: $18.55 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
