Our company Bar1s Urban Fitness is seeking to hire a part-time FRONT DESK/Customer Service representative. This role is meant for someone that is experienced, organized, energetic, and understands how to serve clients in an upscale environment.

Shifts are primarily evenings and weekends with some morning and daytime coverage required as needed. This is a year round position and not only for the summer.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Answer phones efficiently with clear professionalism.
  • Be Punctual for morning openings.
  • Provide studio tours to new clients and sell memberships.
  • Data entry-upload contracts, book and confirm appointments.
  • Log & check-in all members who walk in.
  • Make smoothies, espressos, and manage retail sales when needed.
  • Coordinate scheduling appointments with trainers.
  • Perform routine floor checks to ensure members are taken care of, gym floor is organized and tidy and supplies are stocked.
  • General cleaning duties of the facility and change rooms.

Shifts are Mon to Fri 6-12, 12-5 or 5-9 and weekends 7-12 or 12-5

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Customer Service, specifically in guest services, reception and/or hospitality.
  • Possess excellent telephone skills and professional etiquette.
  • Must be VERY OUTGOING
  • MUST have the ability to speak professionally with clients through various forms of communication (phone, e-mail and in person).
  • Must be able to multitask and be punctual.
  • Must have access to a vehicle/ reliable transportation and be able to open or close the gym.
  • Provide references.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED
  • Current and clear record check.

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

  • Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
