Job Posting for Key Account Representative at Arkalumen Inc.

In this role, you will become the main contact for key customers, both existing and new, developing close relationships with OEM light fixture manufacturers. The ideal candidate would be an ambitious, technically skilled, customer service-minded professional with a strong drive for providing excellent knowledge of Arkalumen’s standard products, as well as scoping new custom lighting solutions for their accounts. Working alongside the VP of Sales, you will lead all parts of the sales process, from communicating Arkalumen’s products, capabilities and values, offering tailored or custom solutions, generating price quotes and negotiating supply agreements, collaborating with operations & support team on production and lead times, and following through once products are delivered, ensuring high customer satisfaction along the way. This opportunity will allow you to extensively grow your customer centric sales skills, while working in a collaborative entrepreneurial environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand positive relationships with existing customers
  • Handle inquiries and requests from customers and address their needs
  • Source, inform and develop new customer accounts
  • Lead regular meetings with accounts to ensure expectations are met, proactively identifying future needs and opportunities to grow the business relationship
  • Proactively offer standard and custom solutions, regularly present new product launches
  • Forecast and track client accounts, negotiate blanket contracts or supply agreements
  • Maintain accurate client records in customer relationship management software
  • Work with management and ensure quarterly sales plans and KPIs are being met
  • Prepare reports on account performance and present findings to management
  • Collaborate with the marketing on any materials or customer presentations needed
  • Keep up on trends, changes, and market actions
  • Other duties as determined from time to time

Skills and Qualifications

Candidate must:

  • 5 years of previous experience in a customer facing sales role
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Have strong attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative and resolve issues with minimum supervision
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in customer relationship management software
  • Have strong skills in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Previous experience using Slack is an asset, but not essential
  • Previous experience in the lighting industry is an asset, but not essential
  • Background in electronics/electronic technology is preferred, but not essential
