Apex Oilfield Services is a privately owned company providing innovative rental solutions to the Canadian energy and infrastructure sectors. We are seeking a full-time, permanent Shop and Field Technician based out of our Gull Lake branch.

The Shop and Field Technician will be responsible for supporting all divisions to ensure our equipment fleet is serviced, repaired, and maintained to a high standard. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work safely in a team environment. This dynamic role includes a variety of both shop and field work. Responsibilities Include:

  • Cleaning, washing, and organizing equipment in the shop and yard
  • Supporting with the service and general repair and maintenance of wellsite trailers, trucks, pumps, tanks, generators, and centrifuges
  • Troubleshooting and helping perform a variety of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks
  • Operating a loader, forklift and driving company vehicle(s)
  • Maintaining a high standard of quality control and organization in the shop and yard
  • Cross-training in other departments to gain exposure and develop skills

The desirable candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Works well both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting tasks and changing priorities
  • Mechanically inclined; previous, carpentry, plumbing and/or electrical experience is considered an asset; oilfield service experience is also an asset
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to train, learn and acquire new skills
  • A clean Class 5 License and Desire and ability to perform physical requirements of the job and work in a drug and alcohol-free environment

Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
