Freelance IT Project Manager (Digitalisation, Infra, ERP)

Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is embarking on a large-scale digital transformation and infrastructure overhaul aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and optimizing business processes. This mission involves integrating cutting-edge technologies to drive automation, improve connectivity, and enhance data management across their global manufacturing operations. The selected IT Project Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering a series of strategic IT initiatives, focusing on infrastructure modernization, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity to align with the company’s ambitious digitalization strategy.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Project Delivery: Lead and manage multiple IT projects, ensuring successful end-to-end delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Projects will span digital infrastructure, cloud adoption, security upgrades, and data management.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure project outcomes align with broader business and digital transformation goals. Maintain clear and transparent communication throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Budget and Risk Management: Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and schedules. Monitor potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams, including internal IT departments, external vendors, and consultants, to execute the project. Ensure smooth collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess and refine project management methodologies and processes, ensuring alignment with best practices, and drive operational efficiency across IT infrastructure initiatives.
• Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives as part of the digital transformation. Ensure effective adoption of new technologies and processes by all impacted stakeholders.

Requirements for the Candidate:

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within a manufacturing or similar industry, with a strong focus on infrastructure, digitalization, and business-critical technology solutions.
• Project Management Methodologies: Proven expertise in managing IT projects using methodologies such as PRINCE2, Scrum, Agile, or PMBOK. A hands-on approach to both traditional and agile project management is highly desirable.
• Technology Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.), networking, and cybersecurity.
• Experience with ERP systems, data integration, and digital solutions related to manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with IoT, automation technologies, and smart factory systems is a plus.
• Certifications:
• PMP, Prince2, or similar Project Management certification is mandatory.
• Certification in change management (e.g., ADKAR) is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and align diverse stakeholders. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
• Personal Traits: Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and a proven ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
