About You
We are seeking an experienced educator with strong leadership skills to guide and inspire our expanding team. The ideal candidate will excel at fostering a positive team culture, driving innovation in learning and teaching, and thinking creatively to enhance our programs. Excellent organisational skills are essential to manage the team in our dynamic, fast-paced environment effectively. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Effectively manage a team of Education Professionals to deliver high quality programs, curricula and assessment.
- Ensure teaching staff meet students’ learning needs and that teaching materials, teaching strategies and assessment tools incorporate contemporary educational theory, practice and technology.
- Ensure clarity of content and design across courses and programs, including print and digital resources to support effective delivery.
- Provide mentoring and support for all teaching staff and identify, recommend, organise and/or deliver professional development and other scholarship activities
- Ensure compliance with relevant internal and external quality frameworks, including Higher Education Standards Framework, Foundation Program National Standards, National Code (ESOS) and the ELICOS Standards
The successful applicant will have:
- A postgraduate degree in Business/Commerce and at least 5 years of teaching experience at the secondary or lower tertiary level.
- Demonstrated success in academic leadership within dynamic learning environments, including experience managing a team of Teaching Professionals/Academic Teaching Staff through change.
- Evidence of fostering a positive team culture that encourages collaboration, contemporary learning practices and participation in scholarly activities.
- Excellent skills in administration and organisation, with the ability to meet tight project deadlines and maintain accurate records.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective networks and relationships with staff, students, the university, and other stakeholders.
