Base Salary HEO4 $80,037 - $84,568 p.a. 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The School of Psychology are welcoming applications for a Client Intake Officer to work within a team of intake workers, conducting client intakes and referrals for the Gambling Treatment and Research Clinic in the Brain and Mind Centre.
This role involves guiding clients through the University’s GambleAware program, including welcoming clients, conducting intake assessments/triage activities and making external referrals as needed. The role also undertakes data entry and administrative duties connected with the client intake processes.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
greet clients as they enter reception
undertake client intake for the GambleAware program which includes answering calls and following client assessment and allocation procedures
make external referrals where appropriate
enter client information and file notes into database
liaise with GambleAware staff to ensure coordinated service delivery
take minutes of meetings and document policies as directed by the GAP manager.
About you

an undergraduate degree in Psychology (desirable)
superior interpersonal skills – ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, team members and stakeholders and exercise tact and sound judgement
experience in a customer service, hospitality, or retail environment
previous relevant work experience gained in the tertiary, government or not for profit sector (desirable)
good oral and written communication skills
good organizational and time management skills.
