Lead and support a dedicated front-line team
Join 2024’s Most Trusted NDIS Service Provider Brand as we enter an exciting year focused on building an even greater experience for clients, staff, and our organisation.
As the full-time Home and Lifestyle Lead you will lead a team to deliver exceptional services and supports for people with disability sharing a Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) house in Maroubra. Experience supporting clients with complex needs would be a great advantage in this role.
You’ll be part of a team of three people, that supports three houses in Maroubra and Concord. The team is led by a dedicated Operations Manager based in the houses.
The role is a mix of management time and direct client delivery. This balance could be great for someone looking to build their management experience (supported by our management program) while keeping the best part of the day - working alongside clients. Perhaps you love working in a role where you get some variety, or you’ve worked in more senior roles and want to use your experience to contribute to the community. Whatever your circumstances we’d love to hear from you!
Being part of a team that supports each other lets you negotiate flexible hours of work to balance your life commitments with the needs of clients and Sunnyfield. We’re open to considering some evening and weekend work, so you can increase take home pay while providing the benefit of connecting with staff and families we don’t always get the chance to catch up with.
Ready for success?
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
Minimum Diploma in community services, leadership, management, or would support success but isn’t essential. We can provide opportunities for you to complete a qualification.
Experience as a Community Support Worker (or similar role) or transferable skills from another sector where you have led a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience coaching and supporting co-workers to build skills, capability, and knowledge.
Experience coordinating day to day tasks for a team.
Experience developing plans and other documentation focused on deliverable outcomes.
Great relationship building skills.
An understanding of the disability services operating environment and the NDIS would be fantastic but can be learned.
An understanding of the needs and vulnerabilities of people with disability. This could be gained through prior work experience, lived experience, and/or experience as a carer or key support person.
What can we offer you?
Great support from your immediate team and the teams that support them across the business.
A great Employee Assistance Program with a range of programs and services, Fitness Passport, and discounted healthcare because wellbeing for the people that care matters!
