Lead Java Engineer - Post Trade IT - greenfield

My client, a leading financial services provider in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Lead Java Engineer to oversee the development and implementation of a greenfield Post-Trade Systems. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned IT professional with significant experience in critical application systems on Linux platforms. Key Responsibilities: Lead system development and project implementation efforts, including business requirement analysis, resource management, application development, and documentation. Design and develop systems using modern technologies, such as Cloud solutions. Collaborate effectively with various IT teams to ensure seamless project execution. Provide production system support and troubleshooting. Mentor and guide a team of software developers in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Undertake additional assignments and projects as directed by management. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. 10 years of experience in software development for large-scale, mission-critical systems. Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading software development teams. Strong knowledge of Linux, databases, CI/CD, and cloud technologies. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, SQL, and shell scripting. Strong analytical skills, self-motivated, and capable of working independently. Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and documentation processes. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
