Your New Role
The Aboriginal School and Community Worker role exists to support Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW) and works with school communities to provide a welcoming and safe place for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and their children.
As the schools are located in Wiradjuri country, and in accordance with tradition, the term Aboriginal will be used to refer to both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, parents and carers.
Aboriginal School and Community Workers will engage in opportunities which support the learning, pastoral and spiritual wellbeing of Aboriginal students, their families and community. Communication with Aboriginal families, school personnel and forming partnerships with local Aboriginal organisations and Elders is essential.

This position is employed to the CEDWW Wagga Deanery and may work across the following schools during your employment. Please note the position may require a degree of travel.
